Toyota is recalling more than 1 million of its hybrid vehicles worldwide over a potential fire risk.
On Wednesday, September 5
th, the automaker said that it planned to recall over 1 million vehicles, including its gasoline-hybrid Prius model, in Japan, North America, Europe and other regions due to an issue with the engine wire harness, which can pose a fire risk.
More than half of the affected vehicles are in Japan, while just fewer than 200,000 are in the United States. The rest were sold in Europe and other markets. US drivers will start receiving recall notices by mail this month. Dealers will inspect and repair vehicles for free, and customers will be notified directly if they are affected.
You can also check at
