The Cherry Festival is coming back to Beaumont on June 5
th through the 8
th! The four-day long festival has been going on for over 90 years. There are plenty of fun activities to keep the whole family busy all weekend long, including rides, games and booths for people of all ages.
If you love live music, then the Cherry Festival is sure to be the highlight of your summer. There are 10 live bands that are playing, and all the entertainment is included with the ticket price. The weekend starts early with Dollface playing at 5 p.m. The weekend continues with exciting bands, including local school bands to enjoy.
There is plenty of food onsite, but a special pancake breakfast will be served at City Hall on Saturday, May 8
th. The breakfast starts at 6 a.m and goes until 10 a.m. to give you plenty of time to get to the annual Cherry Festival parade. The parade will take place after the pancake breakfast on Saturday, starting at 10:30 a.m. This years parade has over 80 entries, including the Grand Marshal, cheerleaders, bands, horseback riders, fire engines, and antique cars. To kick off the parade, there will be specialty planes flying over the parade route.
There is a shuttle provided by the city of Beaumont to take you to and from the festival grounds. It will pick up at the Wal-Mart and Sports Park parking lots. Everyone who takes the shuttle will get a voucher for $1 off the entrance price.
