How to Get a Low-Cost Mammogram This Month
October is nationally known as Breast Cancer Awareness month, with many communities and health care professionals stressing the importance of early detection. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the U.S. However, millions of women are surviving the disease thanks in part to early detection and improvements in treatment.
This month is dedicated to supporting those with cancer, celebrating those who survived cancer, and encouraging women to join the fight. One of the best ways to survive breast cancer is to catch it in its early stages. It is advised that women perform self-exams, schedule clinical exams, and, when they are old enough, schedule regular mammograms. Mammograms can detect breast cancer in its early stages, and they are considered to be one of the most effective tools in the fight against breast cancer. This October, make sure you are dedicated to your breast health by scheduling your annual mammogram today.
At Little & Sons Insurance Services, we encourage every woman to get screened during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
