Try to maintain a position where you can see the driver's eyes in the side mirror so you'll be in the driver's line of vision.
• When drivers are turning left, they're more likely than ever to cause an accident with you (42 percent of car/motorcycle accidents occur during a left turn). To make sure you don't become a statistic, never speed through an intersection, ride on the left side of your lane to be more visible, and be ready to take emergency defensive maneuvers.
