Being organized sounds hard, but, like with everything in life, practice will make perfect - so take these tips into consideration.
On the rare days that we are organized, we are able to be more productive and just feel better about ourselves in general. Of course, as the day goes on and you leave a pen here and there, a piece of paper or two that becomes twenty, messiness and chaos ensue. By the time we realize what has happened, our life has once again become a pigsty. If you want to be an organized person you are going to have to practice at doing so and Get Organized Month is the perfect time to start off this new year.
- Don't Rely on Memory
Even if you have a great memory, the stresses and distractions of the day may erase one of two things of your internal to-do list. And over the year, it may add up to about 300 or so things you forgot to do. Instead, write everything down on a sheet of paper or create a reminder on your phone.
- Put Everything Back in Its Place
"A place for everything and everything in its place." How many times did you hear your mom tell you that? She may have been right. If you put everything back in its place, nothing will ever be out of place.
- 2-Minute Rule
If it is going to take you less than two minutes to do a thing, do it right then. Do not wait for later, because we all know later will never come.
