California Car Insurance Report
When it comes to finding the most comprehensive auto insurance policy and best insurance agent, at the right price, most people do not know where to start. Luckily, the “2014 California Car Insurance Landscape Report” was recently released. This report comes from WalletHub and allows people to search for auto insurance as it is related to their own personal finance.
The report ranks different cities and counties as the most and least expensive areas for insurance. It also shows the annual premiums by gender, and the impacts of different factors, such as driving records, usage, and type of coverage of the cost of premiums.
There is also the option or users to search auto insurance estimates by putting in basic information, such as the make and model of their vehicle, its age, and their ZIP code.
The reports used public filings from the Department of Motor Vehicles to compile the information. They used information about premiums from seven different insurance companies that represent 38 percent of the total insured California drivers, including Allstate, Progressive, and State Farm. California was chosen as the launch of the report since it is the most populous state and has the most information on file.
WalletHub plans to roll out similar reports for 10 more large cities across the country. They are also looking into providing reports about life insurance and property/causality insurance.
